Conversational English Classes

Are you looking for a place to improve your English? We would love to help! Our teachers are ready and eager to conduct their English Classes again this year. We’re glad to be able to hold classes at the church (no zoom) on Wednesday evenings.
We offer Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced Class levels. We also offer a Conversational English Bible Study Class for intermediate to advanced students.
Here is some important information:
- Fall 2024 Semester: First class is August 28th, and the last class is December 4th, 2024.
- Registration & First Class: Our first class is August 28th, plus we will be registering at the church location as well; 6:45pm–8:30 pm.
- Registration Fee: The fee is $30 per student per semester. You can register for the Fall semester for $30 or pay $40 if you register for both Fall 2024 & for the Spring 2025 semesters now.
- Interviews for New CE Students: We conduct interviews to assess the student’s English skills for placement in the proper class level. If you are a new student in our Conversational English Program and registered on-line, you are required to come to the church to be interviewed. Please come to the church on August 14th, 21st or 28th, at 6:30 pm to be interviewed.
College Heights Baptist Church has sponsored Conversational English Classes since 1982 where hundreds of students from all over the world have participated in this program. Our teachers are experienced instructors who volunteer to teach each week. In addition to practicing their English-speaking skills, students will have the opportunity to learn about American culture, Kansas history, discuss current events and make new friends.
